A Sports day at pre-primary level is not about competition. It is about having fun, being physically active, and learning the basics of sports, building co-ordination and motor skills, so as to give the little legends an opportunity to display their self-confidence, patience and sportsmanship. In recognition of the need to inculcate the sporting spirit in children, The Little Legend, Champakara organized the Annual Sports Day on Friday, 16th December 2022.
The programme began with a formal welcome by the principal Mrs. Girija Nair to the esteemed gathering. Our chief guest of the day Mrs. Renuka devi, retd school teacher gave a motivational speech on the importance of maintaining good physical health through sports and games.
The sporting extravaganza commenced with a march past by all the students of TLL. This was followed by a spectacular drill. The children also participated in a wide range of races like ‘obstacle race’, ‘animal walk race’, ‘Relay race' and ‘balance art’ to name a few. It was then followed by colourful Zumba exercises. It was a delight to see the excitement with which the children challenged themselves to compete variety of races. The games organized for parents also saw an impressive participation. The programme culminated with a victory lap of students accompanied by teachers. The pleasing smiles and contentment on the faces of the students and their parents spoke volumes about the success of our Annual Sports Day.
