It was a pleasant and a cool blue day for the tiny tots. Early identification of colours helps to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words which is an important part of a child’s development. Blue – the colour of loyalty, strength, wisdom and trust had a very positive impact on tiny tots.

The significance of blue colour was restated through a series of activities. Pleasure and eagerness was visible everywhere. All the children came dressed up in different shades and tints of blue. The classrooms were decorated with blue balloons and children were introduced to different shades of blue.

Students were made to recognize blue colour through different games and play-way activities. A range of blue coloured objects like balls, globe, model of aquarium, soft toys, umbrella, water bottles, school bags etc. were at display thus providing the students opportunities to have a clear sense of the colour and its importance.

A visual delight

The smart ones of play group and nursery made a blue whale through paper crushing and pasting. While the KG children got engaged in creating variety of pictures through finger printing, Q tip printing, palm printing, collage work, colouring etc.

Children enjoyed the activities with immense excitement and enthusiasm. Blue Day was a wonderful learning experience which had a great effect on each student. It was indeed a visual delight to see impact of learning experience on our little ones.
